Question: What is the Mini Schnauzer Yearbook?
Answer: The MS Yearbook will document the year 2008 - listing top dogs and outstanding achievements from dogs around the world. Last year (2007) 17 countries were represented by dogs in the book.
Question: Will there be FREE pages in the 2008 book?
Answer: Yes and No. We are simplifying everything this year in order to create a better book. Therefore, EVERYONE who meets the deadline can get one or two free pages - BUT - a $25 setup/preparation fee PER PAGE is required.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE LIMITED TO TWO PAGES. These may be used to advertise your top dog, four dogs (1/2 page each) your kennel, anything you wish that is appropriate for the yearbook and that occurred during 2008.
Question: When is the deadline for page reservations?
Answer: The FIRST deadline to reserve pages is December 1, 2008. The reservation/setup fee is $25 per page. The next deadline is Dec. 31 and the reservation/setup fee is $30. If any pages remain after Jan. 1, the fee will be $35.
Question: Do "Top Dogs" get special attention?
Answer: Yes, the #1 conformation dog from each country will be featured in a special way IF there is published documentation that the dog IS ranked #1 in 2008.
Question: What are the changes in the next yearbook?
Answer: The 2008 yearbook will again be published as an 8.5" x 11" book. However, this year it will be professionally printed & bound (by Blurb) and you will be able to choose if you'd like soft cover or hard cover (There will be a price difference.)
Question: Is the yearbook in color?
Answer: YES! The yearbook will be in full color.
Question: Are there any additional charges after I pay the reservation/setup fee?
Answer: We do expect that if you advertise, you will also buy a book when they are available. The setup fee includes ONE photograph (per page). If you desire additional photos, they will be $5.00 each but the extra photo fees may be paid when materials are submitted.
Question: When is the deadline for materials?
Answer: The deadline for materials is January 30, 2008, unless you arrange for a later date.
Question: How do I get a book?
Answer: Publication is expected sometime in March, 2009. If you advertise in the book, you will be notified when the books are available.
Question: What things are appropriate to put in the yearbook?
Answer: New titles or new achievements for dogs or owner/breeder, or any celebration, memorial or honorary event of a club or rescue. If you have any questions about materials you wish to include, please e-mail the publisher.
Other possibilities:
- New champions (any event)
- New performance titles

- Top Producers
- Veteran accomplishments
- Sweepstakes wins (Best in Sweeps, Best of Opposite in Sweeps)
- Tracking/Earth dog titles
- Therapy and service dog awards
- Honorariums for people or dogs
- Memorials for people or dogs

- Rescue organizations
Please note that all of the above require the $25 (per page) setup fee in advance.
Question: What is the cost of other advertising in the yearbook?
Answer: Because we want as many people as possible to be part of the 2008 yearbook, we will also offer a half page:
PRIOR TO DEC. 1ST:
- Full page = $25
- Half page = $12
There will be no ads smaller than 1/2 page.
THERE WILL BE NO OTHER DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE ON THE 2008 YEARBOOK.
Question: How do I submit copy and photos for the yearbook?
Answer:
If possible and time permits, the best submission is a real photo by snail mail which I will scan and return to you ASAP. However, it is not always possible to send the actual original photo. In these cases, you should scan the photo at high resolution [200 OR 300 dpi] and e-mail it to me at the earliest possible date. If there are problems, we will have time to repeat the send. Photos should be submitted in .jpg or .tif format only.
Text submissions should be clearly printed or typed directly on a sketch of the page layout as you would like it. This may be submitted by e-mail in a MS Word or MS Publisher file. We are not responsible for textual errors due to handwriting that is difficult to read, or spelling errors made by the submitter.
Question: Where do I snail-mail my materials?
Answer: Send your materials to:
