Canine Health Foundation reports results of  breed Parent Club health surveys

Here is an exerpt from that page: "Each Parent Club was asked to list the diseases for their breed that are of major concern at this time. As in a former informal poll of Parent Clubs taken in 1995, hypothyroidism remains the disease mentioned by the most number of Parent Clubs (24). Hip Dysplasia also remains a major concern particularly among medium sized and large breed dogs (23). Third in the ranking is epilepsy with 21 breeds mentioning this as a major concern. There appears to be no pattern with breeds in this co-hort from every group. Other diseases which were listed as health concerns by more than ten Parent Clubs include progressive retinal atrophy, auto-immune disease, heart disease, cataracts, patella laxation, bloat, cancer, and eye disorders."
