Summer's owner, Ingrid, writes: "This little lady makes us laugh, lets us see the world in a totally different way, opens many ways to enjoy life again, and shares our deepest feelings; but she also still remains herself: a lovely 'bearded' creature! And therefore we respect her; she is a doggie who gives us, in her own special way, all that we miss...

I also think she was meant to be with us and to share her life with us. Think about her birthdate (May 27th - the same day my father died in 1980) and birthplace (he was born in Gedrop and so was our Summer). The name on the breeder's list was 'Summer', just as wé had written on our list...!"

From the Editor: What better subject for the cover of our summer issue than a beautiful black and silver named "Summer" - who has already been the subject of several photos in past Mini Magazines, including the striking beach photo we use with permission on the Memorial page.

This colorful cover photo shows Summer enjoying the beautiful flowers in her special garden in back of her house. Ingrid is very highly skilled with her camera as you can see in the photos on this page, and on her website as well.
